The software supports all core library housekeeping functions, including acquisition, accessioning, cataloguing, classification, circulation (issue, return, renewal, reservation), serial control, member management, stock verification, OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue), report generation, and library statistics. These modules facilitate effective management of both print and digital resources while ensuring quick retrieval of bibliographic information.
The library has adopted barcode technology for the identification and circulation of library materials. Every book is assigned a unique barcode linked to its accession number and classified according to the Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC) scheme, enabling fast, accurate, and error-free issue and return transactions. Barcode integration also simplifies stock verification and improves inventory control.
The software maintains a centralized database of library holdings, members, and transaction records. It generates a wide range of administrative, circulation, accession, stock verification, and statistical reports, which support decision-making, audit requirements, and accreditation processes.
