Since the inception of the college, the Department of Economics has been imparting quality education. The vision of the Department is to achieve high standards of academic performance and equip students with means to deal with economic, social and business realities.
The Department endeavours to provide through effective teaching a better understanding of local, national and global economic issues. Therefore care is taken to lay the foundation for lifelong learning and make students aware of the concepts and their applications. Attention is also given to develop in young minds analytical skills.
Various programs are organised to add to the theoretical knowledge. One such program is Budget Analysis which is conducted each year after the presentation of the Union Budget.
