A PROFILE OF MASTERS OF COMMERCE (M.Com)
We, the CSI College of Commerce, Dharwad, being an established institution in the field of U.G. course in Commerce, have now given wings to our dream of P.G. course in Commerce. M.Com course began from the academic year 2016-17, affiliated to Karnatak University, Dharwad. The main objective of the course is to offer quality education in the field of Commerce at a higher level. The method of instruction includes case studies along with interactive sessions and multimedia presentations in the classroom. The goal of the Department is to boost students in pursuing research work in this competitive world and upcoming trends of study in Commerce.
The M.Com course is of two years consisting of four semesters. In this course a student can study the higher aspects of Commerce such as application of strategy in various fields of Commerce such as Finance, Accounting, Cost control, Marketing, Human Resource, and also other aspects like Ethics, Governance, Entrepreneurship, Corporate Restructuring, Economics, Stock Market, Foreign Exchange Market, Research Methods and Computer Applications in Business. Along with these students shall also study One Open Elective Course (OEC) in II and III Semesters each. A Project Report is to be submitted in the partial fulfilment of the course.
