Late R.S. Bangera Memorial Elocution Competition was conducted on 4th September, 2015 at 12:00 pm on “Future of Government Schools in Karnataka” both in Kannada and English. Many students participated enthusiastically

1977-78 batch students organized a function on 10th January, 2016 to honour and felicitate their teachers. Former Principals and retired teachers were invited and felicitated. Present faculty and staff were also present. It was an occasion of reminiscence.            


The Alumni Association organized a Workshop on Personality Development on the topic “In Search of Turning Point” on 22nd July, 2015 at 10:00 am. The workshop was inaugurated in a grand manner.  Dr. Arvind Kulkarni, Education Consultant and Corporate Trainer was the resource person. Also present on the occasion were members of the Alumni Association Shri. Basavaraj Bikkannavar, President of Alumni Association , Treasurer CA, P.M. Mudigoudar, Shri Deepak Chinchori, former Deputy Mayor, Prof. Vasant Murudeshwar and Shri. Vinay Hebbal

 


A meeting of Parents and Teachers was held on 12th July 2015 in the College Auditorium. The meeting was well attended. Various issues were discussed for the benefit of students. Dr. A.R. Yardi and Shri. G. U. Patil spoke on the occasion on behalf of the parents.


Annual event of the college is the Fun Week, which is organised by the Students Council and is much anticipated and enthusiastically participated by all students. It was organised from 28th February to 5th March.

The Students participated in all the days wholehearted. The days celebrated were Black and White Day, Unity Day- with Yellow, Red and Blue for each class, Eco friendly Day where all wore green and came to college on bicycles, Group Day- same type of dresses worn by a group of friends, Saree and Blazer Day, Traditional Day.


A two day Intra- College Management and Cultural Fest was organized by a group of VI Semester students on 26th and 27th February 2016. The Fest began on a colourful note with the inauguration by the Chief Guest Shri Harshvardhan Sheelvantar, Syndicate Member of Karnatak University and C.A Shri P.M.Mudigoudar , the Guest of Honour , and was  presided  over by the Principal. Also present was Dr S.V. Hegadal, Head Dept of Commerce and the Coordinator of the Fest.


The Annual Sports Meet was conducted at Rani Chennamma Stadium on Karnatak University campus on 5th February 2016.The Meet was inaugurated at 8 a.m with the College prayer and the Principal declaring the meet open. Various sporting events like track events-100 mtrs , 200 mtrs, 400mtrs, 1500mtrs run  and relay; Jump events, throw events for both boys and girls were conducted by the faculty and staff.
Prize distribution followed soon after. The winners had a proud moment as they received their medals and certificates from the faculty.


The Chairperson and members for the M.Com affiliation from Karnatak University, Dharwad visited the College on 11. March 2016. The team was headed by the Chairperson Dr. R.L. Hyderabad, Dean Faculty of Commerce, Members Dr G.B. Nandan, Dept of Political Science, Dr. Sm.t Jayashree, Dept of Sociology. They toured and inspected the proposed infrastructure needed for the course.


The Music and Fine Arts Association conducted On the Spot Painting competition as a part of Independence Day celebrations. The theme selected was Patriotism. Student participated with great enthusiasm. All the Paintings were exhibited on Independence Day for all to view.
